FlorenceDUNNElizabeth(16.5.1926 - 19.1.2008 It is with great sadness that Pamela Gall, Diana Phillips and Irene Murphy announce the death of their beloved mother Florence after much suffering at Glyndwr Ward, St Tydfil's Hospital on January 19, 2008, where she spent the last months of her life. Florence, widow of the late George Dunn, was born in Cefn Coed then moved to Trefechan where she lived for fifty two years. She worked for many years at O.P. Chocolate in Merthyr Tydfil, before retiring through ill health. She is survived by her three daughters Pamela, Diana and Irene who were devoted to her in her life and during her long illness with dementia. She was a mother-in-law to David, Michael and John, grandmother to David, Scott, Zoe, John, Keiron, Kevin, Michelle, Emma, Lee, Adrienne, Claire, Ron, great-grandmother to Kayleigh, Leah, Joshua, Kaya, Kira, Gavin, Owen and Carys Siobhan, great-great-grandmot her to Harvey, Harrison, Seren and Levi, sister to Bill and Win and will be greatly missed by them all. Special thanks to Bill and Win for their love, care and support. We would like to thank all our relatives, neighbours and friends for attending the funeral and their kind expressions of sympathy and flowers, also donations to Glyndwr Ward, St Tydfil's Hospital. Our sincere gratitude to the caring, compassionate nursing staff at St Tydfil's and Prince Charles Hospitals and thanks to Staff at the Plas Newydd Care Home, Cefn Coed. The service at St John's Church, Cefn Coed and Llwydcoed Crematorium was officiated by Canon Bev John with so much care and compassion. Funeral arrangements were carried out by Raymond Isles & Sons with the greatest of respect and dignity. Thank you Bev and Carwyn and thanks to Margaret Griffiths for the music at the church. Our gratitude also to Yvonne Parfitt and Staff of Cefn Coed Social Club (Pub) for the hearty buffet after the funeral. Thanks also to Sian's Florist, Troedyrhiw for the beautiful floral arrangements. Florence's ashes were interred with those of her late husband George at Vaynor Cemetery the day after the funeral. Now at peace Mam, Goodnight, God bless, reunited with Dad. Never again to be parted. We love and miss you both very much xx
